Read MorePainting is slow going - it can take me weeks and months to release a work through my gallery - but I have accepted this as part of my working method now. It's better to understand rather than fight against this, however tempting it may be to turn paintings over in the hope of rapid sales.
For the love of marks
Here is a recent drawing that required considerable revisions over time. I rarely share drawings with others (much less exhibit them), but I include a few development shots here for those of you curious to see what happens as time and experience moves through a work.. Admittedly, there were a few things lost I wish I could've retrieved but I believe in the need to accept certain losses in art making.
